The XII Ministerial Forum for Development in Latin America and the Caribbean, co-organized by UNDP, ECLAC and the Government of Colombia, includes the Fourth Meeting of the Presiding Officers of the Regional Conference on Social Development in Latin America and the Caribbean, a subsidiary body of the Commission.
Over 2,700 attendees and representatives from 35 governments met virtually on January 12, 13 and 14 at the XII Ministerial Forum for Social Development in Latin America and the Caribbean, organized by UNDP, ECLAC and the Government of Colombia.
In its Preliminary Overview of the Economies of the region, ECLAC forecasts an average contraction of -7.7% for 2020 – the largest in 120 years – and a rebound of 3.7% in 2021.
